What is Alpha?
Alpha is an invitation for adults to come together and explore the basics of the Christian faith, in a friendly, fun and informal environment. Its for non church goers, those who may have gone to church in the past, and those who go to church. Its for everyone who have questions about the Christian faith.
What happens at Alpha?
Alpha is a 12 week course. Each week, we watch a short video, and then have a discussion in a relaxed, informal and friendly environment. Many people have found a personal or deeper relationship with Jesus Christ as a result of doing Alpha.
Topics include:
- Who is Jesus?
- Why and how do we pray?
- How does God guide us?
Cost?
Alpha is run free of charge.
What is the impact of Alpha?
Alpha is endorsed by church leaders in all mainstream churches. Alpha is impacting adults, young people, the business community and prisoners.
Alpha is currently run in 169 countries with over 29 million people engaged globally with Alpha. Over 25,000 people have attended Alpha courses in Ireland.
